Jonesboro Anglers fished Lake Whitney on Sunday April 3rd. Willow Holland and Costin Allison placed 3rd out of 67 teams. Jacob Cisneros and Carter Janisch placed 15th. Addie Rueter and Koen Nabors placed 43rd. Jonesboro is placing 3rd overall for school/team standings. Good job! 🦅🎣

Outstanding performances by both junior high track teams at the district track meet tonight. JH boys AND JH girls came home with the district titles! The future looks bright for JISD track! Anglers Willow Holland and Costin Allison fished the CTHSTT tournament at Lake Whitney on Sunday, March 20. They placed second out of 67 teams with five fish weighing 14.14 pounds. Costin weighed in the big bass at 5.87 pounds. Way to go team!

Outdoor School kids are on their way! Have fun and make great memories!

Please remember that grades 5-7 leave tomorrow for Outdoor School. Students must pack appropriate clothing for the weather conditions and take a lunch for Monday. Spring break update from Coach Pierce: Monday Playing Meridian at 11 am in Jonesboro. Boys need to be at fieldhouse by 9. Varsity game only. Tuesday Playing Bruceville-Eddy at 3:30 in Jonesboro. Boys will need to be at fieldhouse by 1:00. Varsity game only. I apologize for the change and having to move the game to Tuesday. Due to the weather yesterday, 2 of the 2A schools had to move their games back to Monday and our games don't count against their district standings. We had to move our games back to accommodate. After Tuesday the boys will have the rest of the week off in terms of baseball.
